A BROW LIFT, or forehead lift, may restore a more youthful, refreshed look to the area above the eyes. You may feel fine, but the lines on your face may make you look angry, sad, or tired.
You can have this procedure done at the same time as a facelift and eyelid operation. In a forehead lift, the muscles and tissues that cause furrowing or drooping can be removed or altered to smooth the forehead, raise the eyebrows, and minimize frown lines.
Surgery and recovery
The brow lift procedure is usually performed in Dr. Harris’ facility under local anesthesia with oral sedation. You’ll be awake but relaxed, and although you may feel some tugging, your forehead will be insensitive to pain. Your head is not shaved. The incision is usually made behind the hairline so that the scar won’t be visible. Stitches are removed within two weeks and most patients are back to work after a week.
