Male Breast Reduction

IN 2013, nearly 23,000 men underwent gynecomastia, or male breast reduction, surgeries. This is a very common occurrence and frequently causes embarrassment and discomfort.

Surgery and recovery

This procedure removes fat and glandular tissue from the breasts. Sometimes extra skin is also removed. The chest is flatter, firmer, and better contoured after surgery.

This procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. To help reduce swelling, you will need to wear an elastic pressure garment for a week or two, and then only at night for several more weeks. Stitches are removed after two weeks, and most men return to work at that point.

At the gym, the pool or just in a T-shirt – it is difficult to hide gynecomastia. Call us!
